On Wednesday December 11, 2013, the students in Millennial and Ovation! choirs will perform in different venues on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Here is the schedule for parents and students:
Students will be excused from school at the beginning of 3rd hour (10:55). We will have a brief combined rehearsal for "The Man with the Bag and Santa Baby" after which students will have about 10 minutes to change into their concert attire. Students are not allowed to change on the bus or in Salt Lake City. At 11:15, the wonderful ladies in the cafeteria will have lunch ready for those who desire to eat school lunch. Students should be fed, changed, and ready to go on the bus by 11:30!!! I understand that this isn't much time, so do what you need to in order to be ready. Our performance schedule goes as follows: 1:00 pm - Church Office Building 2:00 pm - Joseph Smith Memorial Building 7:00 pm - North Visitor's Center (Theatre 5) 8:30 pm - Assembly Hall Between our performances at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and North Visitor's Center, we will take a few group pictures on the grounds and then students will have some time to eat dinner and be social. No students can go anywhere alone and all students need to be in the North Visitor's Lobby at 6:30 to line up for our 7:00 pm performance. Please bring warm clothing. As of 15 minutes ago, the high in Salt Lake is supposed to be 34 degrees. Ladies, wear sweat pants under your dress and make sure you bring a jacket. Don't plan on using a boy's jacket (we only have 14 boys anyway). Don't bring a lot of stuff as you won't really have anywhere to put it. It's just a bigger hassle for you. Following our performance at the Assembly Hall, we will walk to the buses (parked behind the church history library), load, and head home. I'm expecting to be back at the high school by 10:45 pm with a detour at the dirt spot. Students are more than welcome to ride home with parents, but I need to know beforehand so we don't send our a search party for you. Temple Square, here we come!
